What is the Difference Between Single Phase Two Phase and Three Phase Gel Polish

Decorative gel nail decoration is in great demand among girls. And this choice is easy to explain: reapplication of the decorative coating will be required no earlier than 2-3 weeks, the nails will look perfect all this time, chips and scratches are unlikely to appear on them, and the strength will increase significantly. Gel polish is a salvation for thin and brittle marigolds, which are so difficult to grow without special tweaks. Besides, gel polish is beautiful. With it, your hands always look well-groomed and tidy, and you don't have to worry about their beauty “before going out”.

To create a gel polish manicure, different means are used. Experienced nail masters can easily navigate the variety of varnishes, but it is easy for beginners to make a mistake and buy something that is not necessary for a home manicure. Let's try to figure out what a gel can be and what are the differences between different types.

WHAT DOES SINGLE PHASE GEL POLISH MEAN?

One-phase gel polish , sometimes used for nail extension, is a combination of three formulas in one composition. The product combines the base part, the color, and the top (topcoat). It becomes clear that when using such a varnish, there is no need to apply the base and top separately. In order to make a manicure with this tool, you only need the varnish itself and a led lamp for the required number of watts for drying.

Single phase gel: how to apply

How to use single phase gel for beautiful coverage and build-up ? Prepare your nails, clean them, shape them, cut or push back the cuticles. Polish the surface of the marigolds with a buff, remove the surface layer of the keratinized coating and get rid of the grease. Apply one coat of nail polish and place the nails in the lamp. Repeat the application and again dry the varnish well in the lamp.

Coating nails with single-phase gel has many advantages:

  • saving time - you apply only one product, not three;

  • saving money, because you don't need to buy the top, base, and main color at once;

  • single-phase gel lays down in a thinner layer and provides free air access to the nail plate, it does not dry out, does not change its structure.

But the single-phase gel also has disadvantages. First of all, the limitations of designs. There is no sticky layer in such products, which can make surface decoration difficult. In addition, the durability of a single-phase coating is lower than that of a two- and three-phase coating. Can a single phase gel polish be used as a three phase gel polish to enhance durability? It is possible, but only with the use of the appropriate top (it is on sale).

WHAT IS TWO-PHASE VARNISH

The application of a two-phase varnish involves the use of a base. The ideal solution is a rubber base, which will provide the best adhesion between the nail and the colored layer. Another application option is gel polish and a finish without a base, but this method is risky, because the composition of the product contains elements that negatively affect the condition of the marigolds.

The technology for applying a two-phase agent is simple:

  • before starting work, prepare your nails, do a manicure;

  • treat your nails with a degreaser using lint-free wipes;

  • apply the base and dry it in a UV lamp;

  • remove the stickiness from the base with a cleanser and cover the nails with a colored layer;

  • dry the coating in the lamp;

  • if necessary, you can make another layer of colored coating.

Two-phase varnish lasts up to 10 days, its price is affordable, and the application procedure itself will take no more than a few minutes. When using such a tool, do not forget to remove the stickiness and sand the nails before coating.

What does "three-phase gel" mean?

What is the difference between a single-phase extension gel and a three-phase one ? In the first case, you work with a single bottle of the product, in the second - with a whole system of base, varnish and top. Three-phase gel polish retains its integrity for a long time, it can be worn for up to 3 weeks. It forms a dense, durable layer on the nails, due to which it reliably protects the manicure from damage. The application method involves going through several stages:

  • prepare your nails, get a manicure;

  • use a degreaser;

  • apply base (base) and place nails in the lamp;

  • cover the nails with a colored layer and dry (do not apply varnish on the skin roller);

  • re-coat the nails with colored varnish if necessary and dry;

  • remove the sticky layer using a clinker;

  • apply the top and place the marigolds in the lamp again.

How to distinguish a single phase gel from a three phase gel ? Read the information on the bottle carefully. The manufacturer always indicates product data and recommendations for its application.

Are there any disadvantages to a three-phase coating? Such a manicure requires a serious investment of time and a certain amount of experience with the means. But mastering the intricacies of coating is easy. Your nails will always be perfect.
